  • Carmel is roughly 110 miles (just over 2 hours without traffic) south of San Francisco International airport
  • San Francisco airport is 32 miles (1/2 hour) north of San Jose airport
  • directions from San Francisco Airport to the Holly Farm
• Monterey (MRY)
  • To avoid the drive, consider flying into Monterey airport, which is 15-20 minutes drive from both The Holly Farm and most of the lodging in the area
  • United, American and America West are the major carriers that fly into Monterey from the East Coast; Delta flies into San Francisco and San Jose only
  • Connections are mostly through either San Francisco or Los Angeles

Cars

You will need a car to get to and from Carmel, and to and from the Holly Farm. We encourage people to buddy up to share cars. Also remember there is a lot of traffic getting from the Bay Area Peninsula, San Jose, and San Francisco airports to Carmel on Friday evening during the evening commute from about 4:30pm to 7:30pm.

Anyone traveling from the Los Angeles area may consider taking a beautiful five and a half hour drive up the coast. (directions from Tarzana, CA (Los Angeles) to the Holly Farm)

All of the major car rental companies serve San Francisco and San Jose airports. Monterey airport is served by Avis, Budget, Hertz and National only.
